Love lessons:

1. ‘Sorry’ was never synonymous to ‘I won’t do it again.’ Indeed. No matter how many times we say ’sorry,’ we can’t avoid the instances of doing the same mistake all over again – whether intentionally or unintentionally. So, never expect your partners to poke their eyeballs whenever a chic girl or a hunk guy passes by.

2. When s/he falls out, it doesn’t mean you’re giving less. It’s because s/he is asking too much. Think positively. I mean, why would you blame yourself for the breakup? Who wants to end up having puffy eyes, after all the crying and all? Do you really think a relationship would work out if you’re not reaching a compromise? Nah. Come on. Be optimistic. When it’s broken, it’s broken. Don’t try fixing it. You would only end up hurting yourself. Such a cliche.  

3. Crying before breaking up is good. You are trying to save the relationship. But crying after the breakup is different. It’s stupidity. Here we go again. Don’t cry over spilled milk. S/he ditched you, move on. Get a life. After all, you did everything you could to save the relationship – or did you?

4. There are no wasted tears.There are only inconsiderate partners. Okay, I’m talking about saving the relationship here. Some partners don’t really care. Period. No matter how many barrels of tears you cry, they just won’t care. But let me remind you, crying isn’t really the best solution. A good serious talk would still win. Unless, you’re guilty of course. You should end up being a drama queen or king and all sort. Hehe.

5. Bitterness is often the painful consequence of holding on. You see, if your partners don’t like having you around, then let go. I mean, seriously? Do you really wanna see your ex french kissing his/her new girlfriend/boyfriend? You sure don’t wanna be a wagging tail, following your partner because you still want him/her back. Am I clear with my point here?

6. Third parties are not the main issues. It’s always the two of you. Go figure it out. I don’t wanna explain.

7. Forgiveness is different from second chances. Yes, I still believe that you can still end up being friends. You sure can forgive your partner, but second chance? Think about it. So, you believe in “love is sweeter the second time around?” It all boils down to being able to do the same mistake all over again. If s/he did that to you, then there’s not a reason why s/he won’t do it again. Unless, of course you’d already killed him/her. hehe.

Okay, yes. You’re right. I’m back. I was actually thinking of writing something else but I ended up with these. There have been a lot of things people discuss about love lessons. But I still believe that love is a matter of thinking, and not mainly of the heart. I’m not quite sure if it’s Grey’s Anatomy or Dr. House, but they point out that a man, whose heart is being replaced, can still love the same person before and after the operation. So, see? It’s just a matter of mind.  Just use your head. I mean, really. Seriously.

I was on the market to change the dvd i bought the other day and the marketer told me that this is a good movie to watch so i took it and i was surprise i got a good blu ray copy and it is really a nice movie..




 THE PLOT:

Elaine (Scottie Thompson) and Jarrod (Eric Balfour) have flown to Los Angeles for Jarrod's best friend Terry's (Donald Faison) birthday party. They spend the night celebrating with his girlfriend, Candice (Brittany Daniel), and his assistant, Denise (Crystal Reed). During the party, one of Terry's employees, Ray (Neil Hopkins), welcomes Jarrod to L.A., thinking he has moved there to join Terry's company. During a private argument about whether or not they should move to L.A., Elaine reveals that she is pregnant.

Early the next morning, bright blue lights descend from the sky, entrancing anyone who looks at them. The light turns their eyes milky white and inflames blood vessels, so that they stand up on the skin. Held captive by the light, humans are immobilized and engulfed by the aliens. Ray suffers this fate, but Jarrod is saved when Terry tackles him. Jarrod returns to normal shortly after. He and Terry decide to investigate the light from the roof of the highrise, where they see several alien ships descend over the blue lights and vacuum up thousands of entranced humans. Locked out on the roof, they are almost captured by flying aliens, but Elaine opens the door from inside. She is temporarily mesmerized, but Jarrod saves her.

Back in the apartment, Jarrod points out that the water seems to be free of spacecraft. He argues that it would be a safer place than Terry's condo. The group attempts to reach the marina by car. They split into two groups: Terry and Denise in one and Candice, Jarrod, and Elaine in the other. Before they begin to drive off, they meet a couple, Colin (J. Paul Boehmer) and Jen (Tanya Newbould), also attempting to flee the building. Terry's car is the first to leave, and it is immediately stomped flat by a massive "tanker" alien. Denise is presumably killed while Terry is captured. As the remaining survivors flee back into the garage, they encounter another alien capturing Colin. It corners the rest of the group, but it is knocked out when the building's concierge, Oliver (David Zayas), slams into it with an SUV. Colin is still alive inside the alien, but, as the group tries to free him, the alien wakes up, sucks out Colin's brain, which glows blue, and inserts the organ into its head, as a transplant.

Jen is captured as the group retreats back into the building. The United States Air Forcelaunches a drone attack on the spaceships, nuking the biggest one. The bomb seems to destroy the ship, then it slowly begins to repair itself. After sharing with Elaine how the mesmerizing light made him feel powerful, and that he still feels powerful, Jarrod becomes adamant that they must seek safety elsewhere before it is too late. Oliver tries to restrain him, but Jarrod's eyes turn milky and his veins start to show again, as before. He demonstrates considerable strength, lifting Oliver off the floor with one hand, and swears that nothing will stop him from protecting his family. An Army helicopter lands on the roof, dropping off several snipers with .50 caliber rifles. Jarrod and Elaine go to the roof hoping to ride the next helicopter to safety. Oliver and Candice continue to hide in Terry's penthouse. Candice is absorbed and Oliver sacrifices himself in an attempt to blow up a "Tanker" alien on the side of the building. By tag-teaming an alien, Jarrod and Elaine resist capture, eventually killing it. In spite of this temporary reprieve, Jarrod and Elaine are trapped when the aliens defeat the military. Resigned to their fate, they both look into the blue light of an alien ship and embrace as they are abducted.

A montage shows that cities like New York City, London, Hong Kong, and Las Vegas have all fallen prey to the invaders. Onboard the alien spacecraft, tendrils are inserting human brains into alien husks, re-animating them. Elaine helplessly watches as Jarrod's brain is removed from his body. She is spared this fate when the alien sorter realizes that she is pregnant. Elaine is then transported to another chamber. Meanwhile, Jarrod's brain, which glows red instead of blue, is inserted into an alien body. Instead of simply powering the alien body, Jarrod seems to retain control and conscious, he leaps to the aid of Elaine and their unborn child. The film ends with a series of still images between the credits that depict "Jarrod" protecting Elaine and their child from the other aliens.

the tourist

A woman named Elise (Jolie) is being trailed in Paris by French police working with Scotland Yard. At a cafe, she receives a letter from Alexander Pearce, a former lover, with explicit directions to board a train to Venice, Italy, pick out a man who resembles him and make the police believe that this man is Alexander Pearce. A mysterious stranger, not involved with the police, also seems to be watching Elise. Elise burns the letter and boards a train.

She takes a seat beside Frank (Depp), an American tourist reading a spy novel. Frank is instantly attracted to her. The train arrives in Venice, and they take a boat to the Hotel Danieli. At dinner, much to Frank's dismay, Elise admits to having feelings for another man, presumably Alexander Pearce. They share a kiss, witnessed by the men following her.

The next day, Frank awakens to find Elise gone. Men suddenly try to break into the hotel room. Frank barely escapes but is caught by the Italian police. A sympathetic detective listens to Frank's story that he does not know why these men are after him. He takes Frank from the jail only to bring him to the clutches of the men who invaded Elise's hotel room.

Elise appears suddenly to rescue Frank, fleeing on a boat. Elise finally tells Frank that all this is happening because she kissed him and made the police believe that he was Alexander Pearce. Frank learns that Pearce stole two billion from a gangster named Shaw (Berkoff) and is wanted by the British Government for tax evasion. Stunned by the news, Frank says he still does not regret kissing Elise..

Elise apologizes for getting him involved at all and tricks Frank off the boat. Frank says he loves her. Elise goes to a government building. She turns out to be a secret agent for Britain. She sees her fellow British agent Acheson (Bettany), who was among those following her in Paris. Elise was supposed to work undercover against Pearce but fell in love with him and had disappeared from her job until now. She tells Acheson that she is ready to help him find Pearce now.

Elise goes to a ball Pearce has invited her to attend, wearing a wire. She is handed a letter by the same mysterious stranger from Paris. The letter is from Pearce, saying where to meet him. As Elise turns to leave, Frank is standing in front of her. They dance. Elise leaves to find Pearce and agent Acheson's men apprehend Frank. They both watch on surveillance equipment as Elise walks into a trap set by the gangster Shaw. The gangster threatens to kill her unless she returns the money Pearce stole from him. Agent Acheson doesn't help his colleague Elise, confident that Pearce will show up to rescue her.

Elise reveals the safe's location but does not know its code. Frank watches in horror as Elise is threatened yet again. Seeing that Acheson won't help Elise, Frank picks the lock to his handcuffs and escapes to help her. Frank pretends to be Pearce. Elise begs him to stop or he will be killed. Frank, acting as Pearce, tells Shaw that he will get his money but only if Elise is first released and safe. As Frank pretends that he is about to open the safe, Elise mouths "I love you."

All of a sudden, police snipers shoot Shaw and his men. Frank and Elise are unharmed. As the police survey the scene, agent Acheson can't believe that Pearce did not save Elise and his superior is furious with him for exposing her to danger. A police report informs them that Pearce has just been caught. As the room clears, Elise and Frank embrace.

Frank asks Elise if she loves both him and Alexander Pearce. Elise answers yes. To spare her from this dilemma, Frank reveals that he is the real Alexander Pearce by entering the correct code for the safe. Pearce had gotten plastic surgery, so he could have a new life.

The arrested man believed to be Pearce explains to police that he was paid to pretend and that he is just a tourist. Elise and Frank/Pearce leave on a boat with the money, finally being able to be together. In the safe, police find a bankers check for the ₤744 million in back taxes Pearce owed the British government.

Im so excited for my vacation in Bohol which is scheduled on February 16 2011. Finally my prayer was heard to have a real good time out of the city.

I can finally see this and a lot more....Can't wait no more.Thanks for my company for giving me this wonderful gift i didn't expected this but im so glad that they were able to notice my hard work and patience.

What is the Black Nazarene?
The Black Nazarene refers to a life-sized, dark colored statue of Jesus Christ that was brought to the Philippines from Mexico by the first group of Augustinian Recollect friars sent by Spain. This statue was carved by an Aztec carpenter. Jesus is depicted genuflecting under the weight of the Cross that bore during his Passion.
The Black Nazarene arrived in Manila on May 31, 1606. The statue was initially brought to the first Recollect Church in what is now the Rizal Park. In 1608, it was transferred to a bigger church dedicated to San Nicolas de Tolentino in Intramuros. Then, it was transferred in 1787 by then Archbishop of Manila, Basilio Sancho de Santa Junta y Rufina, to the church in Quiapo—the name, the Black Nazarene of Quiapo. In Quiapo Church, the image survived the great fires that destroyed the Quiapo Church in 1791 and 1929. It also withstood the great earthquakes of 1645 and 1863 and the destructive bombing of Manila in 1945 during World War II.
Why Black Nazarene
It is said that the image was charred black in a fire that broke out on the ship during its trip to Manila from Mexico. It arrived on May 31, 1606, in this form and has always been depicted as such.
How did the devotion develop?
The devotion to the Black Nazarene started when the image was in Intramuros. In 1608, the Recollect Fathers started promoting the devotion to the Suffering of our Lord. After fifteen years, the confraternity or Cofradia de Jesus Nazareno was established on April 21, 1621. The brotherhood got is papal blessing from His Holiness Pope Innocent X on April 20, 1650. In the 19th century, Pope Pius VII granted indulgence to those who prayed before the image of the Black Nazarene. The year 2007 marked the 400th year that the Black Nazarene came to the Philippines.
